Orange County
CaliforniaKids
and its supportive partners are dedicated not just to sustaining
their current efforts, but striving to identify new and innovative
ways to increase funding. The Employer Outreach pilot project
is an example of how CaliforniaKids demonstrates creativity
in offering employers the opportunity to provide affordable
healthcare coverage to their employee's dependents. The objective
of this project is two fold, one is to see that every child
in Orange County has access to a healthcare program, and the
second is to partner with business owners that are eager to
provide dependent healthcare coverage that is cost efficient
to both the employee and the employer. In addition, families
determined not to be eligible for the CaliforniaKids program
will have the opportunity to enroll their children in the Healthy
Families or Medi-Cal program, further decreasing the number
of uninsured children. We welcome you to participate in our
efforts to provide children with the medicals services they
deserve.
Although
our focus is business owners, we invite others to
participate. Associations and Organizations can participate
by sponsoring uninsured children in their community.
The
investment to provide a healthy start for a child is $624 a year
Employers
may elect to subsidize the full premium amount or they may charge the family a
maximum of $15 per member per month or $45 per family.
